Welcome to the official page of the South Africa’s National Orchid Show for 2024. KZN is proud to be hosting this show on behalf of the South African Orchid Council (SAOC). Due to Covid, the last national orchid show was in 2019, and we are hugely excited to connect with our orchidophile friends again. But wait, that is not all – we are going bigger and better this year and combining the orchid show with the Highway Plant Fair.
Who are we?
The National Orchid Show 2024 Committee is a sub-committee of the Pietermaritzburg Orchid Society. However to have the greatest impact Pietermaritzburg Orchid Society have created a joint arrangement with the Highway Orchid Society and the Natal Orchid Society, whereby all three societies will host the show. A truly PMB – DUR show, something akin to a botanic Comrades Marathon or Dusi Canoe Marathon
We are excited to be working with Hillcrest High School to stage the show approximately midway between Pietermaritzburg and Durban.
